Learning Journeys - 

 

Each child has their own 'Learning Journey Online Record', which is put together during the time the child is with us, it is completed through Tapestry Online and contains photographs, observations and assessments. Each child also has their own Assessment tracker which contains all the statements from the Development Matters, each child's development is tracked using this section. 

 

All parents and carers are invited to become a relative to their childs account, where they can view observations, photos and assessments. Email notifications are sent to parents when a new observation has been added and they are able to add their comments and add observations of their own at home. 

 

Keyperson -

 

Our key person system gives each member of staff particular responsibility for a small group of children. Each child in the group has one special adult to relate to, which can make settling into group very much easier. In addition, the key person is in a position to tailor the group’s curriculum to the unique needs of each child. The key person maintains links by working with parents through shared record keeping to ensure that all children are supported in their learning. You will be notified of your child’s key person when they start with us. We also operate a ‘back up’ key person system.
